We were a group of ten- consisting of two families. There was a good mix of children, teenagers and the middle-aged human. We realize golf holidays to Florida with this group would go ahead simply having to shop golf equipment. I have been on golf holidays to many places before but these were normally as part of my seminar tour and so I did not have to slog out the information. Only other major trip I have planned was a trip to Hawaii with my family and since it was not one of the golf holidays to some unfamiliar place, I did not have to be anxious relating to what my children would do when my wife and I went golfing! Happily for us, we were being joined by another family for the trip. Pete and Martha have been my friends since my school days and Pete shared my enthusiasm for golf. Pete had gone on golf holidays to other places before but usually they were disasters because his family was trapped, having nothing to do while he went off golfing. Hence many of the times he would have to give up his golf to keep his family entertained.
With our assorted experiences, we decided that when we plan our golf holidays to Florida, we would do it in such a manner that no one would feel bored and we would have our share of golf too.
We may not have selected golf holidays to a better location! We stayed at a lodge that had more than enough room for a group of ten. We had our privacy. There were 3 bathrooms plus a spa. What excited my little daughter was the well-maintained swimming pool.
Since Martha was not interested in golf, she, with the big children, was in-charge of the rest of the group. There were several superb places to go shopping and Martha and the kids-children were kept busy while we set to playing some serious golf. My wife had a minor injury and so could not play golf the next day. But there was never a dull moment as we enjoyed the golf holidays to Florida. There is an amusement park close by and the ladies and kids ready for the park the next day. They had so much fun that they did not miss us one bit!
Our golf holidays to Florida were few great days of my life. We plan to go on golf holidays to dissimilar places every year now. My eldest daughter is showing a lot of interest in golf, so we will have to shop golf equipment for her soon. She can join us in the golf session when we go on golf vacations to any place next time.
